Meet the Squad


Jenny relocated to Napa from Chicago in 2018 with her husband and daughter. Jenny is a psychotherapist specializing in perinatal mental health. She had a private practice in Chicago (license pending in CA) and did workshops for new moms and birth professionals as well. Prior to her move back home to Chicago, Jenny lived in Cape Town, South Africa for 3 years, where she worked with a street shelter and a children's hospital, serving vulnerable populations. Jenny as has experience as a birth and postpartum doula.  Jenny is passionate about making MomSquad as inclusive as possible. She co-hosts weekly meetups and oversees our mentorship program.

Nicky is a mom of two young boys with more than 5 years of tax experience, including 3 years of public accounting experience working for Ernst & Young. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and previously served as treasurer for Napa Moms.


Since 2011, Joy has led 2020 Mom. Highlights of her advocacy career thus far include Forming and leading the National Coalition for Maternal Mental Health, which was instrumental in the passage of the U.S. law, Bringing Postpartum Depression Out of the Shadows Act (which was signed into law in 2016 by president Obama, as part of the 21st Century Cures Act) and provided federal grants to 7 states thus far to improve telepsychiatry access; Leading the work promulgating the formation of a Blue Ribbon Commission in California, where one in eight U.S. births occur: The California Task Force on Maternal Mental Health. The multi-stakeholder task force issued its recommendations to the public, legislature, and to national and state organizations in 2017.  This report led to the introduction and passage of four state laws which 2020 Mom co-sponsored, including a bill that requires obstetricians to screen for maternal depression and bills that engaged hospitals, insurers, and regulatory agencies, including the Department of Public Health and the California Medical Board. Working with non-profit partners to expand the 2020 Mom annual D.C. "Hill Day" bringing moms together to address multiple maternal health bills through an event now called Mom Congress.


As a hospital-based certified nurse midwife, Vintage High and BYU grad, mother of five kids ranging in ages from 0-12 and a previous foster mom, Brittani brings a unique perspective to MomSquad. She is passionate about hosting "birth circles": informational, inspirational, fun events where parents and parents-to-be come to talk about birth in a safe environment, without judgment. She is currently on the planning committee for our Birth and Baby Fair.


Joelle has served as Executive Director of First 5 Napa County since April 2017. Previously, she served as executive director of Cope Family Center in Napa, responsible for the daily operations of the 45-year-old community benefit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. During her tenure, She implemented several evidence-based programs aimed at reducing the incidence of child maltreatment and building family resilience, most notably the Healthy Families America early home visitation model and the Triple P Positive Parenting Program.

Gallagher is a board member of the Napa County Continuum of Care, co-chair of the Napa County Child Abuse Prevention Council, a founding member of the Napa Housing Coalition, and co-chair of the Live Healthy Napa County Leadership Collaborative, a countywide initiative to improve community health by addressing social determinants. She is a past president of the Napa Valley Coalition of Non-Profit Agencies and a founding board member of the Community Health Initiative of Napa County. She holds a degree in psychology from the University of Santa Clara and a Certificate of Leadership from Dominican University.


Laura has worked in public health for over 28 years and oversees public health nursing home visiting services for new mothers and babies and high-risk families, the Therapeutic Child Care Center, the Women, Infants and Children’s Program and is a Touchpoints Trainer. Laura is a RN, BSN, a certified Public Health Nurse, and a certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. Laura completed the Infant Parent Mental Health Fellowship Program in 2004 and became a Fellowship Mentor in 2006. She also serves on the board of the Napa Valley Breastfeeding Coalition. Laura devotes much of her time to her grandchildren while serving as Director of Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Director, Napa County Health and Human Services


Anne has 15+ years of experience in program development, coordination, management, and evaluation within the fields of public health, mental health, and prevention. Her diverse work experience spans from prevention to treatment, individuals to communities, children to older individuals. She is the founder of Weathervane Consulting, co-founder of the Rainbow Action Network, and Community Programs Manager at First 5 Napa County. Anne identifies as LGBTQ, has a wife and two children, and has experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, depression and anxiety. She offers MomSquad an important perspective on the experiences of diverse families and expertise on how to be more inclusive in our efforts.


Although the wine industry first brought Crystal to Napa, her organizational, management and marketing skills led to an opportunity to join her experience as a mom of two young children and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety survivor with her passion for helping moms as a Napa Moms Board Member, 2017-2019. Her two year role as a 2020Mom Ambassador evolved into joining their team in 2018 to manage Support Group Trainings, the upcoming Learning Network, and California Advocacy efforts as well as Mom Congress. She serves as Napa County's Postpartum Support International Coordinator.


Faune is a graduate from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, Pacific School of Religion, and James Madison College at Michigan State University.  She completed advanced clinical studies at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center and is certified by the state of California and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. SHe founded Napa Acupuncture Practice, which became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2016, allowing her to fulfill her mission of providing low cost acupuncture to the community.


Alexis (who also goes by Lexey) graduated from California State University, Chico with a B.A. in Communication, Sciences, and Disorders in 2006 and completed her M.S. in Clinical Speech Pathology from Northern Arizona University in 2008. She is licensed by ASHA and the state of California. Since graduating, she has has worked with both the adult/geriatric and pediatric populations. She is a part time stay at home mom for her 3 children, ages 6, 4, and 20 months, and also treats pediatric clients with language and speech development delays. Also, she is working toward obtaining her IBCLC license to specialize in pediatric feeding disorders.


Adriana currently provides support for families across Napa County as a Family Support Specialist at one of the leading nonprofit child abuse prevention agencies in Napa. Cope Family Center has been the first stop for many of the families in Napa who are finding themselves struggling with common parenting issues, as well as needing day to day reassurance regarding their child’s development. Adriana has been an essential component in establishing stronger connections within the communities in Napa County by offering bilingual and bicultural information/resources and empowering parents.

Adriana is a Napa native Chicana. As a first-generation student, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Chicano Studies from Sacramento State University. She has worked with many of the local nonprofits in Napa County building resiliency in children, youth and adults. Adriana strives to further continue normalizing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and bringing awareness regarding postpartum depression in mothers, especially brining inclusivity and information for the Spanish Speaking community. Adriana’s passion became about via her own postpartum depression and anxiety experience. Her goal is to help Mom’s in Napa County feel reassured and well supported in every stage of motherhood.


Rikki is a co-owner of CTS Fitness & Performance. Rikki is a personal trainer in Napa who specializes in pre & postnatal exercise and a mother of two who has experienced the effects of two very different births and recoveries firsthand. As a Nutrition CoachPn Level 1 and Post Natal Fitness Specialist, she understands additional stress and pressure on our body during pregnancy and how to work toward preserving our core & pelvic floor function while continuing to enjoy exercise we love. Rikki knows that postpartum is a critical time for new moms to rest, recover and rehab. This phase of life requires nourishing support and a strong community, and Rikki helps educate our support our moms through the process through education.
